Server Move

This is a news section article
Sept 5, 2007 - Counterstrike Servers on the MOVE!
In the interest of increased performance, we here at GetGosu.com, have begun moving our DellTM PowerEdgeTM Servers out of our office and into our new collocated space provided by XO® Communications.

As much as we will miss the deafening hum of servers in our workplace, we, and thereby you, gain a number of benefits by placing our servers in a carrier-class collocated environment:
    A. Access to the XO® OC-192 IP network, built on self-healing SONET fiber-ring technology.
    B. Large nationwide footprint with locations in prime metropolitan areas.
    C. Fire suppression systems.
    D. Temperature and humidity controls.
    E. A redundant power supply.
    F. 24x7 onsite physical security, including: motion detectors and security cameras.

We are able to sleep soundly knowing that our servers are in a safe and secure environment. We are also excited to see pings drop dramatically as we are now sitting directly on a OC-192 network.

For those of us that just want to play Counter-Strike and don't have time to research exactly what OC-192 means, we have already looked it up on Wikipedia for you: “OC-192 is a network line with transmission speeds of up to 9953.28 Mbit/s (payload: 9621.504 Mbit/s; overhead: 331.776 Mbit/s). This along with 10 gigabit Ethernet is the fastest connection commonly available on the Internet.”

If you haven't gotten to beta test as of yet, make sure to sign up now to get a chance to play Half-Life 2: Deathmatch (HL2:DM) and Counter-Strike:Source (CS:S) tournaments free of charge. After playing on our superior network for free you may just want to kiss your Counter-Strike clan server (and those high monthly charges) goodbye.
