I just wanted to chime in here (hope that’s ok).

More “social” features are planned, but we’re waiting for two rather hefty changes to the website to be completed before we can make serious progress on them; the initial changes increase the reliability of the “core” that automates getgosu and allow us to do a great deal more interactivity on the site with a lot less effort, which includes things like chat and live “online” lists and a whole host of options at our disposal like you’d see on popular, more mainstream social networking sites.

I can’t give any “drop dates” for these changes, but I can assure you the technical team is working on them.

Hi dmorris, I mentioned in the other post that since we are just starting out and not many of us are online, we are using the scheduled tournaments as designated times where everyone that wants to play can meet up and play. You can actually see how many people are online by clicking on the “Gamers” link at the top. There is not a very good system to see who they are atm, you are right about that. But atm we are very busy fixing the known bugs/problems with the site and are not really building new features atm. Just meeting up at the scheduled tournament time seems to be working well enough. And when we have lots more people online, then a readout of everyone online will become quite cumbersome/not as useful as some other features we are planning.

we need to be able to see how many people are online and who they are so we can arange tourneys.
